Household Waste Recycling Tips
76We are all aware that our home planet is suffering from too much garbage. We can't undo the damage we've done but we can start somewhere; do minimize our waste and do learn to recycle. We can still make a difference to our world and give our next generation a better place to live a quality life. There are a lot of household waste recycling tips you can find in the web. What I will be sharing to you are just a few of what I am doing at home, my very own contribution to this mission to save the Earth.
The movies Wall-E, Nine as well as Astro boy has a bit of scary reality. We may ask ourselves, do we really want our future to be that way? I can't call that living anymore. It's just existing somewhere which cannot be called home to me.
Our world has become one big market place since the domination of the distribution industry as the new trend. Consumerism has impacted the earth big time. Each of us can contribute to heal the world and stop it from further degradation. Here are some household waste recycling tips to help each of us reconsider our household wastes before throwing them.
- Plastic Water Container, Pet Bottles as Plant Pots to make your Pads, Apartment and Small Spaces green.
Make use of empty plastic containers at home. Use loam soil from your home made compost pit or buy from shops that sell seedlings and the like.
- Indoor Cactus in Wet Cups from Coffee shops and drive thru fast food shops.
Beside from being cute and trendy, recycling paper/wet cups is fun. One way of reusing it is by making it as an indoor vase for small cactus. Cactus is very good in absorbing radiation from computers. You not only help save the earth, you also make your home and office space green.
- Paper bags
Paper bags from dry goods shops (i.e. fashion boutiques) can be reuse, but that's not all you can do with it, there are many handy craft ideas you can make with paper bags.
To keep them neatly, flatten the paper bags and stock one bag on top of another as you would do with folded linens.
- Keep Plastic bags neatly for reuse.
Each household has plastic bags from groceries and wet markets and it can be reuse too. The common dilemma is how to keep it neatly.
Wash it clean first if there's dirt and hang it to dry. You can then fold it like you would fold a flag with tacked in ends, keep the neatly folded plastic bags inside a jar or a box. Place it inside a floor-base kitchen cabinet for easy access whenever you need to reuse one.
- Old news papers and Magazines.
Magazines be it fashion, business, etc., can be collected to put in your mini library. Magazines with glossy paper is good for handy crafts such as origami, paper mosaic, paper baskets, paper vase and cut out art material. If you really wanna get rid of them, give or sold them to recycling shops.
Don't throw old news papers right away. If you don't have any idea on how to make good use of them, recycling shops do. There are many beautiful products made from recycled paper. I for one prefer recycled paper when i buy notebooks, planners and organizers. It's not just unique, you are also helping the environment.

So there, my ideas of household waste recycling tips. My own way of contributing to mother earth. She had given us too much of natures beauty and abundance, it's just right that we give back to her.
It's very important to seriously do waste segregation starting at home. Doing so contributes a lot to the world and in return provides us with a clean and green environment to live in.
