Grow Old with You
79Last Song Syndrome
Most of us who loves to sing have the thing called last song syndrome (LSS). The last song you hear before you leave the house that kips sticking in your head through out the whole journey of the day. You keep singing a portion of that song without end. It hangs around your head that you even keep humming subconsciously. It's an ear worm that's hammered through your brain over and over it sticks to last longer than a day.
Well, I've got mine and It sticks to my brain which I can't easily shrug off. Every time I do the Last Song Syndrome, I tend to connect myself to the message of that song which repeatedly invades my solitude. The most amazing thought which came across my mind is the thought of growing old with someone so dear to me. Just like what the song ♫♪ "Every time We touch" by ♪♫ Cascada did to me.
♫♪" Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky.
They wipe away tears that I cry.
The good and the bad times, we've been through them all.

Grow Old with You
Every time I see an old couple around, I really appreciate them. I wonder how it feels to have spent the rest of my life with my partner. Hmm.. Just the thought of holding hands with him, watching the sunset and staying together forever tickles me. Don't get me wrong, I'm not fifteen. I'm fifteen times two plus three (33) who stays forever young at heart. If 'Happily Ever After ' is just in fairy tales, I am challenge to create my own and even better. Because right now I can definitely say, I want it to last a lifetime and beyond. To receive his gaze and look him in the eyes and say "I wanna grow old with you too." Awww...
♫♪" I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad.
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad.
All I wanna do is grow old with you.
I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches.
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks.
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you.
I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold. " ♪ ♫_Adam Sandlers
Grow Old and Don't Fear -- Positive Facts of Growing Old
I never thought growing old is something to freak out. Especially in the romantic side of things. I frequently see old couples still in love with each other. They have succeeded in a relationship of "decoding a woman and appreciating a man." Time has made their respect for each other deeper and and their love more sturdy than ever like a pyramid. For a man to still say ♫♪ I Love You Just the Way You Are ♪♫ even if years are shown around my eyes is one of the best thing a woman like me could ever ask for. If there's a thing or two to fear of growing old, it's the pull of gravity and wearing down of systems. But that's nothing compare to the positive things we can get as we aged.
- As we grow older, we'll be more experienced and we will developed more knowledge.
- Learning is a lifelong process and getting old will help us develop strategies significant in managing our lives and the lives of others who sought our advise.
- Creativity which we had developed early in our lives will be enhanced and polished as we aged.
- Wisdom comes with age. We'll have gained more wisdom as we aged. To have lived a stimulating life will cause our brains to grow more branches and interlinks.
- Stress levels decreases while we increase our ability to cope with stressful situations we experienced in our lives. The levels of anxiety diminishes as we aged.
- We developed clearer perspective and understand ourselves better.
- Our confidence level increases and care less about what other people say or think.
- We give love more easily and abundantly because as we aged our capacity to love increases and self conceitedness decreases.
- As we aged, our curiosity increases as well as altruism.
- Our gratitude deepens as we developed better understanding of life.
- Intuition of women is heightened. Common sense of men becomes even more apparent.
- What I like best about growing old is the sense of humor. I guess the sense of humor is heightened as we grow older.
on the romantic side of things, would it be so lovely to have spent the rest of our lives with the ones we love? Like the couple in the movie "Forever Young?"

Great music that complements a great hub! The measure of love in a relationship is tested by time. If the measure is small time cannot increase the love. Blessed those who love.
Merry Christmas!

I love this hub and the music you've selected. Never heard of the LSS but I have definitely experienced it, LOL I want to add that I wrote a hub about Love, arouind valentines day. I think I called it: how does your love rate. In it I talk about growing old together with your loved one (something I won't be able to do even though my husband used to say this to me frequently. He passed away in '05) and I added the song: Grow old along with me. Take a look at it if you want. Nice to meet you.
